"Rīgas satiksme" reminds: everybody has to register his or her trip!
"Rīgas satiksme" is launching a new information campaign to remind passengers that everybody has to register his/her trip in public transport, including those passengers who buy monthly tickets or enjoy 100% fare discount.
Based on the analysis of clients’ requests and questions, "Rīgas satiksme" will place information materials in public transport vehicles and at public transport stops to explain why everybody has to register his or her trip.
There are several reasons. First, the registration of e-tickets is necessary to count precisely the number of passengers as required by regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia. Second, it helps to measure passenger flow and provide vehicles of higher capacity and with shorter traffic intervals, if necessary.
"Rīgas satiksme" calls on disabled persons of group 1, disabled passengers under age of 18, their companions, as well as disabled persons of group 2 to receive personalised e-tickets at the company’s customer service centres. The e-ticket is issued free of charge for the first time. The above categories of passengers can also receive a free ticket from driver after presenting a disabled person’s certificate.
